Introductory Photography Course
Studio 1 Photo Centre conducts a fun, practical 5-Week Introductory Photography Course on Sundays at our Training Centre.
No camera? No problem! Professional cameras are provided for students who do not have one.
You’ll learn how to:
1) Understand your camera and its important settings
2) Take properly exposed, sharp and well-composed photographs
3) Use shutter speed, aperture and ISO with confidence
4) Work with different lighting situations
5) Improve your composition and creativity
6) Take better portraits and everyday photographs
You will learn step by step how to use a digital camera, understand important camera settings, improve lighting and composition, and take sharp, high-quality photographs with confidence. Your instructor has over 30 years of professional photography experience, including 15 years as a media photographer and 8 years teaching photography.
Many of our past students have completed the course with greater confidence, with some going on to start their own photography careers and businesses.
All students receive a Certificate of Completion at the end of the course.
Graduates who want to take their photography even further can also continue into our Advanced Photography Class, This is where you learn PHOTO EDITING using Adobe Photoshop.
Since we own a photo studio you have the opportunity of using our facility to continue practicing along with accompanying us to outside jobs to get ON-THE-JOB-TRAINING. You will be exposed to COMPANY EVENTS, WEDDINGS, GRADUATIONS, BIRTHDAY PARTIES, PHOTO BOOTHS, 360 PHOTO BOOTHS and lots more.
No experience needed — just bring your interest in photography and get ready to learn, practice and have fun!
ADVANCED PHOTOGRAPHY COURSE
An Advanced Photography Class is also offered which delves into the business aspect of Photography. This is offered once a year. Please contact us to find out the date of the next Advanced class.
COMPUTER LITERACY COURSE
Studio 1 Training Centre now offers an Introductory Computer Literacy Course for those who are interested in learning about using a computer. We will be covering Computer Basics, Internet and Email Basics, Microsoft & Google Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint/ Docs, Sheets, Slides) and Computer Safety. An Advanced course in Microsoft Word is also offered.
